Kathi Bratberg, RN

Trained at Clarkson College of Nursing and University of Nebraska at Omaha. Management classes at Metropolitan Community College. Experience includes 14 years medical surgical hospital nursing, and clinic nursing in Ophthalmology and Dermatology. During my 15 years at the Dermatology Clinic was head nurse, managed anesthesia department, and ultimately became clinic manager. For many years I had been concerned with the increased use of prescription medications and a general decrease in health in the U.S., and began searching for a different model of health. In 2001 I was introduced to Holistic Functional Medicine, a system of health that recognizes that all healing takes place in the mind, body and spirit, and it uses nutrition as one path to healing. I have a Bachelors degree in Holistic Nutrition and training in Healing Touch Therapy, through the Colorado Center for Healing Touch. I am excited to be a part of “Alternatives” and welcome the opportunity to assist you in your journey to wellness.

She has been counseling patients in nutrition and wellness education with Dr Ryan for the past 7 years and is currently obtaining her B.S. in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College. Come and rediscover "Whole" natural foods, seasonal food selection, healing "Power" of foods, cooking techniques, menu planning, recipes and more for yourself, your family and friends.

Sandra A. Herzog, C.B.T., L.M.H.P.

Sandi Herzog is a Certified Biofeedback Therapist and a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, who received her Masters degree in Social Work at University of Nebraska at Omaha and is a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner. She has 10 years experience in the mental health field and has worked extensively with teenagers, adults, couples and families. She has worked in hospital and clinical settings, as well as giving community presentations, both as a Mental Health Practitioner and as a Biofeedback Therapist. She is a Certified Biofeedback Therapist through the Neurotherapy and Biofeedback Certification Board in Colorado. She became increasingly aware of, and interested in, holistic healing in her mental health practice, which led to her introduction to the EPFX/SCIO Biofeedback machine in 2001. Sandi has studied and attended numerous modalities that deal with mind, body and spirit healing. She has studied extensively the Hanna Kroeger healing methods, various meditation techniques and received her training on the biofeedback program through Quantum Life in Santa Barbara, California, and is presently earning her Doctor of Naturopathy degree from Clayton College.

The EPFX/SCIO Biofeedback program was created by Professor William Nelson, who is also a medical doctor, physicist and chemist. His program encompasses body, mind and spirit energy healing that, after measuring the body’s frequencies, can then alter the frequency to reduce stress and meet the body’s needs, thus helping the body to heal itself.

Clients are “hooked up” to the machine by a headband and limb straps. All the person needs to do is sit back, relax and let the program work. It is safe and non-invasive so it will not interfere with any treatments or medications the person may be taking. Some energy therapies include allergy desensitization, weight loss support, anti-aging, nutrition, acupuncture, phobias, addictions and much more. It is a natural complement and support to Dr. Ryan’s programs and her philosophy on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.

The EPFX/SCIO biofeedback is a stress detection and reduction program that allows you to heal yourself. Clients are encouraged to continue taking their prescriptions and to consult with their physicians on medical issues. Biofeedback should be seen as a complement to traditional medicine.

Sandi is available in Alternatives on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please call for an appointment.
