Our StaffPatricia Ryan, M.D., CCN
I have always found the human body fascinating. What makes a person sick? What initially starts the unraveling of health into disease? I attended medical school in hope of finding the answers to my questions. However, instead of getting answers, I formed more questions. There are many underlying causes of illness. In addition to allopathic medicine, I have studied nutrition, hormones, and toxicology to find ways to help the body heal. Most of the time it takes a combination of things to restore health, or at least move a body towards health. It is my passion to provide information and guidance to my clients so they may make informed decisions regarding their health. There is so much more you can do to enhance how your body feels so you can enjoy life! Our bodies are here so we can experience and enjoy life, and become loving beings. The most important part of your journey towards health involves loving yourself. So happy journeying! Take a step towards choosing a life entrenched in love starting with your own body. You have nothing to lose and so much to gain. Join us at Alternatives in our walk towards a more vibrant, alive, and loving experience of life -- through health! Kathi Bratberg, RN
During my 15 years at the Dermatology Clinic was head nurse, managed anesthesia department, and ultimately became clinic manager. For many years I had been concerned with the increased use of prescription medications and a general decrease in health in the U.S., and began searching for a different model of health. In 2001 I was introduced to Holistic Functional Medicine, a system of health that recognizes that all healing takes place in the mind, body and spirit, and it uses nutrition as one path to healing. I have a Bachelors degree in Holistic Nutrition and training in Healing Touch Therapy, through the Colorado Center for Healing Touch. I am excited to be a part of Alternatives and welcome the opportunity to assist you in your journey to wellness. SUSAN FOX, R.N.
